BIKE RACKS IN A UTE
These photos show you how to protect your bike from damage when transporting it on a ute.
A few years ago, one of the guys who used to work in our factory was a keen mountain bike rider and used to spend a lot of weekends riding around the Oxford Falls area in northern Sydney. And what do you think was the most convenient way for him to transport his bike to and from the trail? Why one of our bike racks of course!
Used as a wheel chock, and bike rack can hold your bike upright in the back of your ute and protect it from damage. In these pictures you can see that a three bike stand was installed in a tub tray, but a five bike stand can be used in the back of a normal 180cm wide aluminium tray. Now dont forget that you will have to tie the bikes into position as they wont just stand happily in place whilst you are driving if they are not held down. Tie Down or Elastic Straps are most commonly used and available at Hardware or Auto Accessories stores.
This is one of the many use case for our bike parking stands and it is as a bike carrier inside a vehicle.
